Love Your Body
Love Your Body
By Alex Kriz
The human body can only lose about two pounds of body fat a week. Melting fat off your body is a slow, oftentimes painful process. But of course, the results are worth it. Increased self esteem, energy levels, and a near-constant flow of endorphins are your reward for all your hard work. In the words of Heidi Klum - “Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels”.
The hardest part about losing weight is being consistent. Consistency also happens to be the key to success in a weight loss program. Slow and steady progress adds up over time, and in a few months you’ll look at yourself and realize you’ve made an incredible transformation. However, this transformation doesn’t happen overnight, it takes time. The good news is that this kind of transformation rarely goes away. If you take a few months to change your body, chances are very slim that you’ll go back to the way you were before.
Dieters rarely stay at their goal weight because they didn’t invest much time in the process. In a couple weeks, you simply cannot learn to value your body enough to retain your results. However, if you take the slow and steady approach instead, you will learn to truly love and respect your body. You build an emotional connection to your well being that you simply didn’t have before.
When you’ve transformed, you don’t just live in your body, you love your body. And of course, you don’t want to harm someone you love. All of a sudden, it’s pretty easy to resist eating greasy and fattening food. All of a sudden, exercise is fun and stimulating. Exercise becomes an act of love - A daily communal between you and your body where you respect and cherish each other.
