Love is the Answer - Valentine Edition
Love is the answer to most of the ailment in the world today because the healing power of love brings emotional healing, and this leads to good relationship with one another and often physical healing. The pressure of the modern world is crowding out love in our society and there is an erosion of community spirit and family values. Our love tank is dangerously running on the empty and we cannot give what we do not have.
The youths of our nation are left to fend for themselves, the adult are looking after ’self’. Compassion and neighborhood cooperation have given way to neighborhood animosity. Disputes are now settled in court rather than by applying the ‘love thy neighbor principles.’ In fact a secular group called Rose Royce puts it succinctly by singing a song with lyrics ‘love don’t live here anymore’ (1978).
It would appear this group has seen to the future because thirty years down the line since that song was made famous by the above named group we are witnessing the death of love in the world in a scale unprecedented. I just want to encourage every reader of this short note that love has not gone away. You are love resurrected because the beholder of love who promised never to leave nor forsake you lives inside of you. In fact, he is with you always calling you, romancing you and waiting patiently for you to come back to your ‘first love’. He is knocking at the door of your heart every second asking for permission to come into your life and to fill your life with a new kind of love that goes beyond emotion, romance, and the erotica. To fill you with a love that is birth from the heart of the Father who loves all his children enough to send his one and only son to the world to die for the sin of mankind.
When you open your heart to Him and remain in Him, you would never be found wanting in the love department again because the greatest lover who never disappoint, never leave nor forsake you lives inside of you. All you have to do is to come into a wholehearted relationship with Him today and develop a passion, a great affection and adoration towards Him and watch him love, romance and touch you in places previously untouched. Watch him shower you with divine affection, passion and favor previously unknown to you. The name of this lover is Jesus.
That brings me to the question. What’s your love language?
